As of 2023, every new vehicle sold will come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems or ADAS. Thankfully, SOS Auto Glass & Calibration has made calibrating ADAS easy for you. With our mobile safety system calibration process, SOS comes to your business to complete the static or dynamic calibration. Modern vehicles are complex machines, with dozens of systems working together to deliver you a comfortable and safe ride. Driving a vehicle with uncalibrated ADAS systems is putting the driver, their passengers and other motorists at significant risk of harm and is strongly discouraged.
SOS Auto Glass & Calibration uses a mix of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and aftermarket scan tools with OEM targets. The SOS team is trained and certified to serve most of the vehicles on the road today. Full-service calibration at your location, often within 24 hours or less. THE SOS MOBILE ADVANTAGE
Your #1 Mobile Calibration Partner in the St. Louis Metro Area
Why choose SOS Auto Glass & Calibration for a mobile calibration?
Simply put, calibration is complicated! It’s also quickly becoming the norm, as all vehicles manufactured from 2023 onwards must have ADAS capabilities. Put your vehicle in the hands of a trusted, certified technician who will come to your business or location. SOS Auto Glass & Calibration has heavily invested in the training and technology needed to do safety system calibrations.
What harm is there in not getting a calibration?
Operating a vehicle with uncalibrated ADAS systems is putting the driver, their passengers and other motorists at significant risk of harm and is strongly discouraged. Why would you drive your newly repaired vehicle down the highway, not knowing if the safety systems are functioning as intended? To limit liability, insurers will often pay towing charges if a system calibration is needed outside of an auto body repair. To get started, schedule a service by calling SOS Auto Glass & Calibration at 314-288-1600.
What's the difference between static and dynamic calibrations?
Simply put, static calibration is done while the vehicle is parked, while dynamic calibration is performed while the vehicle is being driven. However, it's not quite that simple. Domestic vehicles use dynamic calibration to calibrate their safety systems; foreign-made vehicles use static calibration to do so. An outlier, the automaker Honda, uses a combination of both methods.
The SOS Auto Glass & Calibration team is trained and certified to serve most of the vehicles on the road today. No matter the make of your vehicle, we will calibrate it with the correct method.
